Andre Chachere, Philadelphia Eagles, 2014-17

  • Fifth NFL season
  • Played in 49 games with 32 starts at SJSU
  • A three-year starter at cornerback at SJSU
  • Became the first Spartan since 2012 with at least 100 yards of interception returns with his 117 in 2016

Six Spartans Make NFL Rosters to Start Season

Jeremiah Kolone, Los Angeles Rams, 2013-17

  • Fifth NFL season
  • Completed five seasons with the Spartans
  • Two-time honorable mention All-Mountain West
  • A four-year starter at offensive left guard
  • Played and started in 42 games at SJSU

Josh Oliver, Baltimore Ravens, 2015-18

  • Fourth NFL season
  • Completed four seasons with the Spartans
  • 49 games played and 36 starts for SJSU
  • Only the fourth tight end in school history with 1,000 or more career receiving yards
  • Concluded his college career accepting an invitation to play in the 2019 Senior Bowl

David Quessenberry, Buffalo Bills, 2008-12

  • 10th NFL season
  • Originally a walk-on at SJSU
  • Played in 50 games for the Spartans with 38 starts
  • First-Team All-WAC selection and played in Senior Bowl
  • Captain of 2012 Military Bowl victorious team

Wes Schweitzer, Washington Commanders, 2011-15

  • Seventh NFL season
  • Three-year starter at left tackle for SJSU
  • 44 games played and 38 starts at SJSU
  • Honored in 2012 and 2015 on National Student-athlete Day by the National Consortium for Academics & Sports
  • 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII honoree and 2016 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society honoree

Keith Smith, Atlanta Falcons, 2010-13

  • Ninth NFL season
  • Played in 49 games and had 45 starts at SJSU
  • First San Jose State player to receive Freshman All-America recognition from the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA)
  • Four-time all-conference linebacker
  • Two-time first-team selection and a second-team choice his freshman and sophomore seasons
  • Only Spartan named Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Freshman of the Year
  • Finished his career ninth in NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) history and second on the San Jose State list with 476 tackles.
